Is it worth it to pay more for a 120hz tv?

Hi,
Im thinking about purchasing a Samsung TV, and theres two similar models that are both 52 inches. the main difference in which I can tell is that ones 6-hz refresh rate, and the other is 120hz. I want more bang ofr my buck, and im not sure if theres that much of a difference…to people who have ahd experince or who own a 60hz tv themselves, is it that noticeable when watching a sports game or something of that sort.

you have to ask yourself “what am I doing with this TV?” for instance, if you’re just watching the nightly news, the 120hz is overkill. Sports, fast moving objects, movies esp in blu ray, and gaming all take advantage of the 120hz.

then you have to ask yourself, is the difference the 120hz makes worth the extra money? I’d suggest to save money and put some budget into a nice surround sound system, in my mind, picture is one half the experience, sound is the other half. ESPECIALLY because you’re considering a size like 52 inches. (then again, I’m assuming you don’t already have surround sound)
