What’s a good graphics card upgrade from an ATI HD 2400?
I have an Acer Aspire M5630
Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 – 2.2Ghz
2GB + 1GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 2400 graphics card
500GB Hard Drive.
I’m pretty sure the PSU is 300W.
What’s a good graphics card upgrade? I want to be able to play high definition movies, Blu-Ray, be able to hook up to a 37″ HDTV with either DVI or HDMI, and be able to do graphic effects in Ubuntu well. If it’s possible I’d like to keep my current PSU, but if it’s a must I’ll change it. The cheaper the better, but I want it to do all those things.
an HD3650 is a good bet. it only uses a floppy power connector for power, so your psu should be fine.
i believe you can get dvi-hdmi adapters. the card is about 60 USD, 80-90 CAD
