UN55B7000 Samsung had my Samsung LED TV a couple of weeks. He has more than lived up to the campaign. Hooked up and put on a Blu-ray. The type of jaw delivery has fallen, and is delivered / set hundreds of televisions.

Samsung also provides software that enables you to use your PC as a server. You can then view your photos, music, etc. on the TV. It took a bit ‘around a lot, but it was easier than some others I’ve tried to use.
I played two games with my PS3 and XBOX360. No problem. No pixelating. Do not bother to change the television to games. I’ve fooled around with the 240Hz function. I just leave it on Standard.
I’m sure there are other features that I have not tried. With the ability to upgrade Internet I have no doubt that teach even the most incredible tricks.
I set up my Harmony 880 Pro to control all my devices including iPods. IPOD menu / info to show (via my Denon) on TV.
All the above features are great, but the main thing is … the picture is just absolutely mind-blowing amazing.

The first and most noticeable aspect from the LN-S2651D may be the super-glossy black finish. It’s shiny and smooth, like a new Mercedes. Unless you’re opposed to gloss-black finishes on your house entertainment equipment, this HDTV is going to appear sexy anywhere.

The LN-S2651D can also be used being a computer monitor with its 1366×768 screen resolution. Needless to say, the LN-S2651D has two built-in speakers with 5 watts every. This might not seem like significantly, but the sound produced by the Tv is pretty great (note – not fantastic, but definitely acceptable). In movies like Bourne Supremacy and Underworld, lots of night scenes help me judge how dark colours render on display. The Samsung LN-S2651D provided superb blacks with few to no artifacts. Hues are very life-like. Audio is crisp, clear and held up properly with deep, booming explosions and higher pitched sirens and wails. Despite the 4000:1 contrast ratio, I noticed a slight amount of color banding in some scenes. Granted, I was sitting less than a foot in front of the screen, searching for flaws. Had I been 4-6 feet away, I would have detected nothing wrong at all.
Also noteworthy may be the LN-S2651D’s extremely affordable price point. You will find cheaper 26″ HDTVs available on the market, for sure, but they’re usually from off brand names that provide as a lot risk as they do discount.

Purchased this Plasma 5/15/2010 it arrived within the window provided 5/24/2010.
Set up was a breeze. Plugged in all the HDMI cables in the back, as well as the CAT5 for the internet connection and a composite cable so I can see my receiver menu on the screen. Also plugged in the coax for OTA reception and the optical audio out connection. Fired it up and was very impressed. I’m not one of those guys that notices or pretends to notice every little picture detail or insignificant imperfection. All I know is that the HD feeds from the antenna look awesome. I’m watching the NBA Finals right now and it’s being shown in 720P and it’s incredible.
There are plenty of preset picture settings and 2 Expert Modes that you can set how you want if you don’t like any of the presets. I prefer the THX Bright Room personally. I also have an HTPC hooked up via one of the HDMI ports in the back and the TV handles the PC very well. The HD movies played from the PC also look great.
The internet features are pretty good too. Netflix through the NetCast feature provides a free 30 day trial. You sign up online from a PC then enter a code that the TV provides. You can then add all your movies to the Netflix queue and they show up on the TV. Watched a couple streamed in HD and it’s impressive. The YouTube feature is also pretty cool. You can search and stream anything from YouTube. Of course YouTube’s video quality isn’t the best, but it’s convenient if you want to show everyone a video without having to crowd around a little computer screen. Push the green button and it pops into full screen. Both the Picasa app and the Flikr app are also good for streaming your pictures without having to connect another component.
The Yahoo Widgets is also a pretty cool little gadget as well. If you want to check the weather real quick or look at the top headlines, it comes in handy. There may be some issues with this device however. When I first got the set, the Widgets worked fine, then about a week later I pushed the Widget button on the remote and nothing happened. It was dead. Everything else on the TV worked fine, including the NetCast feature so I was debating if I even wanted to get it serviced. I decided I would and called LG. Their customer service was excellent. They sent a service van out about 3 days later and the guy called ahead of time to make sure I was there. He was on time and only took a few minutes to determine that the main board needed replacing. I again had to decide if it was even worth it. He said it’s a simple process and only would take a few minutes so I had him order the board last Friday. He showed up again yesterday with the board, helped me take the TV off the wall, unscrewed about 15 screws, replaced the board then screwed everything in. Helped me hang it back up, and all is fine.
Even with the Widget issue, I’m giving the TV 5 stars. As with any product, there are bound to be occasional issues with individual items. Since the TV was still under warranty I paid nothing and the fix was extremely easy. In fact should something happen in the future and the TV is no longer under warranty, I will try to find a board myself and replace it.

Great TV
Best TV I could find for around $1000. I still can’t believe I got a TV this nice for the price I paid. The picture isn’t as nice as some of the Samsung LED backlit LCD’s that cost 3 times as much, but I’m fine with that.
It looks great mounted on the wall. The bezel isn’t thin, but it blends in very nicely with the rest of the TV because the screen glass covers it.
The sound is very good from the built in speakers. Really clear at low volume.
TV itself is very thin.
Inputs are reachable even after mounting it on the wall with a low profile tilting mount.
Netcast stuff works great (using wired ethernet). It’s really nice to have Netflix so easily accessible, and YouTube is fun to play around with. Unfortunately, Pandora is only available on the LG BluRay Player, so you’ll have to switch inputs to get your music.
